SARDINIA – SELVAGGIO BLU TREK

An iconic and one of the most spectacular and technical treks in the Mediterranean, running along the wild coastline of the Gulf of Orosei. The Selvaggio Blu is a complete adventure: breathtaking sea views, nights in tents under the stars, exposed sections, easy climbs and abseils — always in total safety with an expert mountain guide.

Duration
7 day

DESCRIPTION

The Selvaggio Blu runs along Sardinia’s eastern coast, from Pedra Longa to Cala Sisine — an immersive and challenging trek through one of the most spectacular coastlines in the Mediterranean. You’ll follow ancient shepherd trails and charcoal paths, covering about 50 km in five stages. Every day reveals new scenery: towering limestone cliffs, rope abseils, short climbs, juniper ladders and untamed landscapes.

The experience is made safe and accessible by the constant presence of a Mountain Guide, who leads participants through the technical sections and the daily choices along the route. Nights in tents in remote, wild locations, simple and genuine food, and well-organised logistics allow you to focus only on the essentials: walking, exploring, and connecting with nature.

PROGRAMME

Day 1 – The journey begins: welcome to Sardinia’s wilderness
Arrival in Santa Maria Navarrese, overlooking the Gulf of Orosei. A relaxed seaside village atmosphere and the scent of the sea welcome you. Meeting with the mountain guide, trek briefing and equipment preparation.
Overnight in hotel or B&B.

Day 2 – From Ginnirco to Portu Pedrosu: first taste of Selvaggio Blu
We leave the asphalt behind and enter the heart of the Mediterranean scrub. The path descends towards Portu Pedrosu, a small hidden cove among the cliffs. Far from everything, we spend the night in tents under a sky full of stars, lulled by the sound of the sea.
4–5 hours of trekking / Overnight in tents by the sea.

Day 3 – From Portu Pedrosu to Cala Goloritzè: the pearl of the Gulf of Orosei
A long and rewarding stage: among panoramic passages, juniper ladders and short climbs, we reach Cala Goloritzè, one of Sardinia’s most iconic beaches and a UNESCO heritage site. From there, we continue to the Su Porteddu plateau, where we set up camp for the night.
6–8 hours of trekking / Tent under the stars.

Day 4 – Into the heart of the wild Selvaggio Blu
The day begins with an exciting descent towards Cala Goloritzè, followed by a via ferrata climbing up between sea and sky, with spectacular views along the coast. Exposed and technical sections are managed safely with the guide. The most demanding but also the most unforgettable day. The arrival at Cala Mariolu, with its turquoise waters and white pebbles, rewards every effort.
5–7 hours of trekking / Overnight in tents near the sea.

Day 5 – Towards Grotta del Fico: cliffs and hidden secrets
An alternation of ascents and descents, aerial sections and breathtaking views. The route leads to the Grotta del Fico, once a refuge for monk seals. After the visit, we camp in one of the most remote corners of the coastal Supramonte.
6–8 hours of trekking / Overnight in tents.

Day 6 – The final day: the magic continues
The trail towards Cala Sisine is a crescendo of emotions: via ferrata sections, abseils and natural balconies overlooking the sea. A technical and scenic finale to this great adventure. The sense of achievement is immense — we’ve made it! The journey ends with a dinghy transfer back to Santa Maria Navarrese, retracing the wild coastline from the sea.
6–7 hours of trekking / Return by boat.

Day 7 – Farewell Selvaggio Blu
Breakfast, goodbyes and departure. You’ll take home not only breathtaking photos but also a life-changing experience. Selvaggio Blu is more than a trek — it’s a journey into pure nature, and into yourself.
