Day 2 – From the Coast to Saturnia
68 km | +1,600 m | demanding
The first real stage: leaving the sea and heading straight into the heart of the Maremma. Arrival in Saturnia, with the option of relaxing in the famous natural hot springs.

Day 3 – Authentic Maremma and Hilltop Borghi
51 km | +880 m | panoramic and varied
The most panoramic and varied day. Riding through hills and vineyards, passing borghi like Magliano in Toscana and Scansano. The landscape is quintessential Tuscan countryside: soft lines, warm colours and open views stretching all the way to the sea and the Argentario.

Day 4 – Val d'Orcia and Montepulciano

One of the most scenic stages. Optional climb to Monte Amiata for an extra challenge. Otherwise, a more flowing route into the Val d'Orcia – cypresses, ridgelines and UNESCO landscapes. Arrival in Montepulciano, with its Renaissance architecture and historic vineyards.

65 km | +700 m | character stage
The stage with the most character. Riding towards Gubbio, one of Italy's most fascinating medieval cities. Progressive climb to the Apennine ridge: the symbolic crossing point from the Tyrrhenian basin to the Adriatic.
