DESCRIPTION
A vertical ascent over Lake Garda
Starting from the center of Riva del Garda (70 meters above sea level), this climb initially winds along a forest road and then a path to reach the Capanna S. Barbara (560 meters above sea level) where the spectacular via ferrata begins, climbing over 600 meters in altitude, with long vertical sections equipped with metal ladders. The view gradually opens up over the lake, until reaching the summit cross of Monte Rocchetta, at an altitude of 1,276 meters. The various return options will be decided together with the Mountain Guide.
Not for the faint-hearted
While the route has no major technical difficulties, the constant exposure and steep ascent make itsuitable only for hikers in good physical and athletic shape, free of vertigo, and used to mountain terrain.
